Chair's Message - May 2026
Dear FSGA Members,
As summer approaches, momentum across the fantasy sports and gaming industry continues to build, and nowhere is that more evident than with our upcoming 2026 FSGA Summer Conference in Philadelphia (July 8-9). Following the excitement generated by our initial announcement, I’m pleased to share that the conference agenda-at-a-glance is now available on the FSGA website. I encourage everyone to take a look.
With Philadelphia hosting World Cup activity and the MLB All-Star Game the week after the conference, travel demand in the city will be especially high. If you plan to attend, I strongly encourage you to reserve your hotel room within the FSGA block as soon as possible. We do not anticipate the hotel being able to extend our room block once it fills, and availability across the city is expected to tighten quickly. The same applies to flights and travel arrangements, as rates will almost certainly increase as the summer approaches. And our registrations are already tracking ahead of last year, so don’t wait and wind up paying more to join!
On the advocacy front, our Executive Director and I met with the legal team at Miller & Chevalier regarding the ongoing excise tax matter. These were productive preliminary discussions focused on the information and supporting materials needed before formal engagement with the Treasury Department and IRS begins. We are currently coordinating with the FSGA Board on those next steps and will continue to keep members informed as this important project progresses.
We’re also excited to continue expanding opportunities for members to connect in person throughout the year. If you’ll be attending SBC | Summit Americas in Fort Lauderdale next month, please join us for the FSGA Member Meetup on Tuesday, June 9 from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. ET at Tin Roof. Special thanks to CBS Sports Digital, RubinBrown, Underdog, and Zerohash for sponsoring our member meetups this year.
Finally, it’s impossible to ignore the continued convergence happening across fantasy sports, sports betting, free-to-play products, and AI-driven personalization tools. The pace of innovation across our industry remains remarkable, and it reinforces why events like the Summer Conference and year-round member engagement are more valuable than ever. And remember, if you feel you have industry news that other members would benefit from reading, submit that through the FSGA Info Hub and we’ll post it on our website.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our summer events!
Warm regards,
Brandon Loeschner
